Akary explains what distinguishes the Mk.VI from earlier Sabre variants, including the Canadian-built Avro engine and the significant increase in thrust compared to early Korean War–era models. He also walks through the preparation required for a vintage jet display, from extended pre-flight inspections to documentation review and mental rehearsal.

This particular P-38 was built in 1944 and later converted to racing configuration, named “White Lightnin’”, by Marvin "Lefty" Gardner, becoming an air race legend between 1947.
